The SuperSense Solid is the robust version of the SuperSence level sensors. Technologically equipped with the same precision, the Solid version has additional features to fulfil even the highest requirements. It is perfect for diesel fuels, has a high chemical resistance and works reliably, even under the most adverse conditions. The fully digital measuring system of the latest generation is embedded inside the housing and is effectively protected against external weather influences on an IP65 basis. With available temperature ranges of up to -30°C to +85°C and an operating range of up to 5,000 metres altitude, this sensor is suitable for a very wide range of applications.

The SuperSense Solid determines the fill level via pressure changes in the measuring hose. The sensor was designed for retrofitting and can be easily adapted to all tank heights (up to 200 cm) using 2 different methods at the touch of a button. The sensor data is displayed via the optional SuperSense display, via app or on your original control panel (please check / request compatibility in advance). Depending on the control panel and tank, level measurement in 1% increments is possible.

In contrast to the SuperSense Solid laser model, the Supersens Solid with measuring tube is also suitable for side mounting in the tank.

The kit contains all the components needed to measure the tank contents and display the measurement data via Bluetooth in the SuperSense App /DigiCamper App. For the sake of the environment, the kit is only equipped with a 75cm hose. If you require a longer hose (up to 200cm), please specify this when ordering. Only a power supply in the range of 10 - 30V DC is required for operation.

How the SuperSense Solid level sensor works

A sensor hose is plugged into the level sensor. The hose is inserted into the tank from the top or the side. As the fill level rises, the air in the sensor hose becomes minimally compressed. This change is detected and analysed by the SuperSense electronics. Special algorithms ensure that the measurement result is always displayed correctly, even with changing temperatures or different atmospheric pressures (e.g. on a mountain). This makes SuperSense equally suitable for stationary and mobile use.

Perfect for fresh, grey and black water as well as diesel fuels

Where conventional solutions reach their limits, SuperSense Solid really comes into its own. While the measurement conditions for fresh water are simpler, the requirements for measurement technology in the grey and black water sector are significantly greater. Thanks to its robust measuring cell, SuperSense Solid is perfect for long-term use in grey and black water tanks. Thanks to its high chemical resistance, it is also perfectly suited for diesel fuels.

The programming button

This sensor can be adapted to almost all tanks with just one button. In addition to the one-off calibration required (remains stored even in the event of a power failure), it can also be used to display the current fill level. To do this, the button is pressed briefly and the LED then lights up in one colour. The level can then be read from the colour of the LED using the level meter printed on the sensor.

Sensor calibration

There are two programming methods for this sensor. You can choose a programming method that suits your application. The instructions can be found in the Downloads tab.

Installation:

The sensor is attached by screwing it into an existing 3/4 inch thread or as a single-hole installation by drilling a 27 mm hole in the tank and attaching the sensor from the inside of the tank with a 3/4 inch nut. However, this requires a cleaning opening in the tank in order to screw on the nut from the inside.

If there is no 3/4 inch screw-in thread and no tank cleaning opening in the immediate vicinity of the installation location of the sensor, the QuickConnect SS-QC-43 can be used to realise a simple installation.

The sensor hose can be easily adjusted to the tank height using scissors.
