The 125Wp Sola Frame Daylight solar module is equipped with innovative Back-Contact SunPower® Maxeon cells and thus achieves a cell efficiency of over 24%. The increased efficiency of the solar cells guarantees solar energy at almost any time. They can be installed and used in all self-sufficient applications such as motorhomes, boats, garden sheds, camping, off-grid systems and all off-grid systems .
The back-contact technology eliminates the conductor tracks on the front, reduces the formation of shadows on the cells and thus increases light absorption and power production.
The integrated bypass diodes optimise the performance of the modules under different lighting conditions.

Back-contact technology
This technology allows the cell to absorb more light and convert the additional absorption into electrical energy. In contrast to conventional solar cells, the conductor tracks of the SunPower solar cells used are connected to each other on the back (back-contact).By laying the cell tracks on the back, these tracks cannot cause shading, which significantly increases the module efficiency and at the same time creates an outstanding appearance. The integrated bypass diodes in the junction box mean that the module can continue to produce electricity even when shaded or in low light conditions.
Robust, compact and lightweight design
The solar module is made of anodised, scratch-resistant aluminium hollow chamber profile and tempered glass with lotus effect, which in turn ensures maximum durability and longevity. The housing frame provides the module with stability to meet the requirements of mobile and outdoor use. The acid-etched anti-reflective glass has a self-cleaning effect (lotus effect, although it should of course be cleaned from time to time if mounted flat) and very high light transmission due to the pre-treatment, which is noticeable in an increased electricity yield.
The materials used and the design make the solar module light and compact compared to conventional 125Wp modules. Light and compact is the right solution, especially when it comes to utilising the available space effectively or taking into account the load-bearing capacity of the roof or the payload of the motorhome.
Our recommendation
These modules are ideal for installation in off-grid systems or on motorhomes and boats. Operation with a good MPPT controller is recommended in order to maximise the yield. Of course, the solar cell can also be operated with conventional PWM solar controllers (note the input voltage), but the advantage of an MPPT controller is approx. 20% more yield.
If several solar modules are used, always connect them in series and only then allow them to be regulated down to the battery voltage in the MPPT solar charge controller. This makes the cabling more cost-effective (no Y-connectors are required for parallel connection), the loss on the line is lower as the solar power is transported to the charge controller via a low current at high voltage. The solar charge controller can also work in diffuse light, as the voltage of the solar modules is high due to the series connection. If you would like to use this solar module in a 24V battery system, you will need at least two of these modules. Of course, you can also use several modules.
