Remote-controlled battery main switch with deep discharge protection | 260A / 12V

Protection against battery deep discharge or overvoltage | manual emergency operation | control LED

The remote-controlled battery main switch THR 265-12 enables the connected loads to be switched on and off conveniently by remote control from any point in the vehicle or boat. It also has integrated undervoltage and overvoltage protection, which automatically controls the main switch and thus protects the battery or the connected loads from damage.

Special features:

  • Remote-controlled switching on and off
  • 260A max. current
  • Battery protection against deep discharge
  • Battery protection against overvoltage
  • Control LED
  • Visual display of the switch-off delay time
  • Manual emergency operation

Remote operation using an optional switch:

Using an optional switch, such as the WS22RG pressure switch shown here as an example or the FAR remote control panel, the battery main switch can be operated reliably and clearly from a distance (optional, does not have to be used).

Automatic disconnection in the event of undervoltage with automatic reconnection:

If the battery voltage drops below 11.2V, the main switch - with a delay time of 300 seconds - automatically disconnects. The delay phase prevents a brief voltage dip - e.g. by switching on a large consumer - from triggering the disconnection. During the delay period, the LED integrated in the main switch and the optional external LED flash. The connection is automatically re-established as soon as the battery voltage has risen above 12.5 V again (delay time 10 seconds).

Automatic disconnection in the event of overvoltage with automatic reconnection:

If the battery voltage rises above 15.6V, the main switch - with a delay time of 60 seconds - automatically disconnects the connection. The delay phase prevents brief voltage peaks - e.g. when connecting chargers - from triggering the disconnection. During the delay time, the LED integrated in the main switch and the optional external LED flash. The connection is automatically re-established as soon as the battery voltage drops below 14.5V again (delay time 10 seconds).

Manual emergency operation

In the event of failure of the control electronics, the relay can be switched directly by means of an external cable bridge between the minus and the upper screw heads of the centre relay terminal by means of a short switching pulse (1 second).

Operation

The internal LED flashes briefly to indicate that the relay is ready for operation. When the relay is switched on, the internal LED and the LED light on the remote control panel light up continuously.

While the delay time for switching off is running, both the internal LED and the LED light of the remote control panel flash on the THR models. If the main switch has switched off due to undervoltage or overvoltage, the main switch can be switched on again by switching it on again at the control panel. If the voltage is still outside the valid range, the system switches off again after the delay time.
