The Lynx Class-T Power In connects and fuses up to two strings of lithium batteries and acts as a DC input in the Victron DC Lynx distribution system. It has a positive and negative busbar, connections for two Class-T fuses and a connection for earthing the DC system. The Class T fuses, available in 225 A, 250 A, 350 A and 400 A versions, must be purchased separately. For installations with three or more strings of lithium batteries, you can use multiple Lynx Class-T modules. As a core component of the Lynx distribution system, the Lynx Class-T integrates seamlessly with all other M10 Lynx products.

Why Class-T fuses?
Class-T fuses are fast-acting, i.e. they have a very short response time and thus reliably prevent a short circuit or excessive current. The switching capacity of a Class-T fuse is up to 20,000A / 125V. They are preferably used as the main fuse for lithium batteries, where a very high short-circuit current can occur in the event of a fault. The larger the battery bank, the more important the ability of this fuse to quickly and reliably prevent high short-circuit currents.
The Lynx distribution system
The Lynx distribution system is a modular DC busbar system that includes DC connections, distributors, fuses, battery monitoring and/or lithium battery management functions.
The Lynx distribution system can consist of the following components:
- LynxPower In - A positive and negative busbar with four connections for batteries or DC devices, available in two versions, with M8 or M10 busbar.
- LynxClass-T Power In - A positive and negative busbar that accepts two Class-T fuses and has two connections for batteries or DC devices, available with M10 busbar.
- Lynx Distributor - A positive and negative busbar with four fused connections for batteries or DC devices and fuse monitoring, available in two versions, with M8 or M10 busbar.
- Lynx Shunt VE.Can - A positive busbar with a free space for a main system fuse, a negative busbar and a shunt for battery monitoring. It features VE.Can communication for monitoring and setup with a GX device.
- Lynx Smart BMS - For use with Victron Energy Lithium Battery Smart batteries. It consists of a positive busbar with a contactor controlled by a battery management system (BMS) and a negative busbar with a shunt for battery monitoring. It has Bluetooth communication for monitoring and setup via the VictronConnect app and VE.Can communication for monitoring with a GX device and the VRM portal. Available as 500 A model with M8 busbars or 1000 A model with M10 busbars.
System example - Lynx Class-T Power In and Lynx Distributor
In this system, a Lynx Class-T Power In is used to create a fused battery connection. A Lynx Distributor is used as a fused busbar for DC loads. It is possible to connect multiple Lynx Class-T Power In modules together to create a longer busbar with more battery connections.
System example - Lynx Class-T Power In, Lynx Smart BMS and a Lynx Distributor
This system consists of:
- Lynx Class-T Power in with two fused parallel lithium batteries and identical cable lengths for each battery
- Lynx Smart BMS with built-in contactor and battery monitor
- Lynx Distributor with fused connections for chargers, inverter/charger(s) and loads
- One Cerbo GX (or other GX device)
- Victron Smart Lithium Batteries
- Victron inverter combi unit
- Victron Solar charge controller
- Victron Battery Protect
